On Wednesday 21st January, at the Athens Metropolitan Hotel, one hundred guests, members and friends of the Chamber, enjoyed a truly sumptuous buffet with Tastes from Macedonia. Prior to the buffet, four speakers had the opportunity to share their knowledge and knowhow on several food, wine and other nutritional issues that derive from the Macedonian heritage while more than ten sponsors abundantly offered their products to our guests not only on the buffet but also with incredibly full gift bags.
More specifically the Speakers were Mr. Angelos Iatridis, Ktima Alfa, on “Northern Greece Wine & Ktima Alfa”, Dr. Chrysa Oikonomou, Hellenic Spiroulina Net, on “The Global Benefits of Spiroulina”, Professor George Boskou, of the Charokopeion University, on “Mediterranean Diet in Northern Greece and the nutritional value of Macedonian Products” and Mrs. Elisabeth Tsigarida, Pella Ephorate of Antiquities, on “Presentation of the civilization and products of Ancient Macedonia with special reference to “Mendean Wine”.
The event which was the third in an annual row of “Tastes” (previously Chios and Mytilene) started at 7.30pm and finished well after midnight!
